After stuck at home in the past 2+ years, I finally took on a road trip in May, 2022, and went to Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Washington and Oregon five states. Nonetheless, you only see pictures in four states on my web page. Why? Because it was way too crowded to my taste when I got to Wyoming or more specifically Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks vicinity. I arrived at Jackson on the third of May where plenty of snow was still piling and laying on the ground all over. However, to my very surprise I ran into traffic jam right there for more than 40 minutes. As I was idling in the traffic jam, I turned my head to the side of the streets and first I saw REI and I was stunned. Then more stunning was a Whole Foods standing not too far away. I escaped from Bay Area, CA, just to avoid of crowds and these were what I encountered here.

I escaped yet again from Wyoming very early the next morning and this is the first and only picture I took in Wyoming.

Approximately 7:20 this morning, May 8th, passing through US-12 at 100 mile mark in Idaho and saw this accident. Miraculously, both the driver and passenger weren’t seriously injured at the time but I do believe that both of them need serious medical exams. Stayed with them for almost two hours till authorities arrived because there was no reception whatsoever.

Definitely be careful and safe out there.

I really don’t know how to say it so I will just blunt it out here. I have traveled many places around this planet and seen many, many ruins but this is by far the most beautiful ruin I have ever seen. “Beautiful ruin”, isn’t that an oxymoron itself?
