As I was cooking dinner at my campsite, a huge bull Elk dropped by. Just look at its antlers! Turn off the stove, grab the boiling cooking pot in case Elk wants to share my dinner without paying for it, hide the pot inside my car somewhere without burning the interior. Then grab my camera and start shooting. Turning from cook to photographer within 3-5 seconds, superman, top that!

In the past month I visited Yoho, Jasper and currently at Banff National Parks. I have set an averagely 5.7 miles (9.17 kilometers) hiking distance per day during that period of time and more strikingly climbing 41 floors per day too. Needless to say that I have collected numerous gorgeous and magnificent images along the way. However, right now what makes me curious the most is have I ever lost some weight? If I do, how much?

I have been hiking, camping and photographing in around Canadian Rocky Mountains area in the past three weeks in September and just getting out back to civilization now and proper connection to the outside world. The sceneries are breathtaking and jaw dropping. It’s just too bad the wild forest fires caused the Jasper NP being shut down entirely. I am out to get re-supplied, enjoying modern life a bit and heading back within 3-4 days. I don’t usually have my own pictures taken but here is one.

By the way, the waist pouch you see on my right side contains one extra lens and more importantly the bear spray which was carried wherever we go out here in the wilderness.
